Plenty of lawn space for the summer, a canoe, a Paddleboard and 2 docks for swimming, fishing and boating. In the winter you have the ability to snowmobile right from the door, and ice fishing is also a few steps away. You have a great view of the lake and Mt. Christopher is straight ahead when you walkout the sliding glass doors onto the patio.

This charming 3-bedroom home is perched on a mountainside with stunning views of Lake Christopher and the surrounding mountains of western Maine. Ideally located minutes from skiing and biking at Mt. Abram resort and just down the road from world-class skiing and golf at Sunday River Resort. The sunny first floor offers an efficient mudroom entry with plenty of hooks and pegs for all your gear and leads into an open concept kitchen / living / dining area with a cozy wood stove and vaulted ceilings. A bunkroom, bathroom with shower stall and private bedroom with a queen sized bed round out the main living level. Sunday River Lodge is located in beautiful Bryant Pond, less than 5 minutes from Mt Abrams and 15 minutes to Sunday River. We are situated overlooking beautiful Lake Christopher, with expansive views of both the lake and valley. The lodge is comfortably appointed and tastefully decorated using Maine decor throughout. It has a large hot tub, adjacent to the deep stone firepit. We have private access to two lakes within 5 minutes: South Pond - wonderful dock in a great swimming area. Crystal clear lake. Deep water. North Pond - kayaks for 4 and swim tubes. Kayak to Rock Island, 8 minutes away and see the bald eagles nest. A site to behold! Wonderful hikes, hidden waterfalls - we will let you know where it all is!!!! Special Instructions Please Read: Security deposit for $500 is required to hold your reservation. The balance of the payment and security deposit is required three weeks before arrival dates. Upon receipt of final payment we will mail you a packet with all the details to make you trip an enjoyable one. The security deposit will be returned upon inspection of premises. This should happen within one week of departure date, however it may take up to three weeks to fully inspect and send out reimbursement.

Our home is very unique and one of a kind in Maine. The house sits on the highest point of Oak Hill and has expansive views of the Presidential, Carter, Mahoosuc, Mt Abrams and Sunday River ranges, also water views of Lake Christopher (Bryant Pond), South Pond and Round Pond. The home is located in Bryant Pond, less than 5 minutes from Mt Abrams, 10 minutes to Bethel and 20 minutes to Sunday River. It offers a great get-a-way for families or reunions both in the summer and winter. There is lake access at the bottom of the hill with a parking lot. Bryant Pond can be used in the summer for fishing or swimming. There is a swim raft out on the lake for everyone to enjoy. If you enjoy kayaking you use the beach to launch off and enjoy the lake. We have four kayaks down at the house, but must be brought down to the lake and returned to the house after use. The lake is a 1 minute drive down the hill. Outside of the house there is a fire pit and horse shoes for summer use. Local winter activities: Skiing at Sunday River or Mt Abrams, snow shoeing, ice fishing, snowmobile, dog sledding, cross country skiing at Carter’s. Sunday River ski area is 14 miles door to door and our personal favorite. Zip-lines and summer activities There are local rental shops for kayak rentals. Round Pond sits at the base of Mt. Abrams, about a 1 hour and 15 minute ride from Portland and is a tranquil pond with clear water, great fishing, and a fabulous rope swing. There is plenty to do and see nearby, from the historic town of Bethel to various antique shops to walking/biking trails and local coffee shops. Do it all or do nothing at all from the dock, float, shoreline gazebo or wraparound screened in porch. It's so comfortable and relaxing once you arrive that most people stay on the property most of the time, even though there are many activities and restaurants in the area. We're on a quiet dirt road, perfect for strolling or dogwalks and a five minute walk from a whole network of year round hiking trails. Nearby Bethel is considered one of the prettiest villages in the state, and because of the 4 season appeal has both the beauty of its natural surroundings plus many fine restaurants and numerous other amenities. We love this property and seek renters who will enjoy its serenity and respect the great effort we've taken in its care. It is terrific for 3 generations, young families, couples who appreciate the private scenic setting; we do have great neighbors, and want to keep it that way. There are so many wonderful outdoor activities but if you get stuck inside for whatever reason, you will love the coziness and bright, warm atmosphere of this lovely scenic home. For those not familiar with Bethel it is a wonderful area with nearby top-notch skiing, hiking and scenic drives. Our place is truly a camp, not a luxury hotel. Guests love the rustic style of the camp, the views and the location. We are located directly on North Pond a few feet from the water’s edge; right where you belong. Scenic four-season vacation camp with oil heat, fireplace and kitchen. Enjoy the panoramic views through the all glass wall. Walk down the backstairs and you're a few feet from the sandy beach. Step over to the spacious dock with Adirondack chairs to relax in. Read, sip beverages or simply do nothing from the dock and yard. There's an outdoor fire pit too. Anglers land perch, large and smallmouth bass. Hiking is abundant. It’s an outdoor haven. Outside, the back yard has plenty of space to play and cook out. The dock is a nice size with Adirondack chairs. Our sandy beach is perfect for everyone, especially younger children. It’s shallow and sandy all around the dock. Kids play here all day. Inside, the camp has welcoming views of the pond and mountains. The main floor features a full kitchen with an island and chairs plus a nice sitting area central to the place. The living room has a fire place. The place is small and it can be a tight fit for the top end capacity of 8. But our previous parties of 8 still loved the place. Upstairs has 1 large community type bedroom including 1 queen plus 3 twin beds that will sleep 5. In the basement, which is unfinished, are 2 bunk beds that sleep 4. There's also a futon and couch. It's actually perfect for kids or teens to have their own space. Access to the basement is through a trap door and sturdy custom built ladder that is also blocked with a gate for added safety. We do have the internet with Wi-Fi. We do not have cable TV. But the TV does have an HDMI connection. So our guests can stream videos from their device to the TV. There's also a DVD and VCR player with plenty of videos. Plus there's a host of classic board games like Scrabble and Yahtzee. Enjoy! Sunday River Ski Resort, in the town of Bethel, is 15 minutes away. Mt Abram is 5 minutes away.
